A recent study suggests that yeast mannan prebiotic improves sleep quality

According to this recent article by Nutra Ingredients, a new randomised controlled trial revealed that administration of the prebiotic yeast mannan (YM) leads to more time spent in bed (TIB) and increased deep sleep in healthy adults.

Indeed, the study shows that the differences were attributed to significant changes in the gut microbiome, with recorded changes in faecal propionate and gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) metabolite levels in the YM administered group. In addition, treated participants were found to show improvements in gut health symptoms, reporting increased defecation frequency and stool volume.
